Participants are encouraged to be faithful to their inner life which encompasses mind, heart and body. Together we strive to open ourselves to the world of spirit, while being grounded in our own spiritual practices. Honouring all spiritual traditions and welcoming people from all walks of life, we value compassion and deepening the interior life.

TWO CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS
PHASE I & II



PHASE I – JOURNEY OF THE SOUL

The format for the next Phase I program will resemble the following (dates to come):

Applications accepted until March/April, 2025

  • In Person Residency - Five days/Four nights

  • Online Session 1 - Two days from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm ET

  • Online - Two days from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET

  • Online -One day 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET

Journey of the Soul is open to all spiritual seekers. This phase offers a contemplative and dynamic environment in which to explore one’s spirituality, acknowledging each of our unique needs as individuals in community. It is the prerequisite to Phase II, the practicum in spiritual direction.

  • The first phase invites personal spiritual transformation and opportunities to awaken to the true self. 

 

CONTENT: 

Experiencing and learning about self-compassion, deep listening, spiritual practices, discernment, ecological spirituality, dreams, Sabbath rest, and the enneagram.

PROGRAM COMPONENTS:

·      5 all-day retreat days on Zoom and a 4-day retreat with other participants
·      assigned readings and reflection papers
·     silent retreat for three days
·      receive regular spiritual direction
·      participate in a monthly journey group (introduced at the first retreat day)

METHOD:

Experiential learning through storytelling, movement, creative expression, mindful and reflective self-awareness and learning from one another.

COST: 

  • $150 non-refundable administration fee due at the time of application

  • Two installments (amounts and dates to come) for tuition & staff support throughout the program. It includes all course material but not books purchased, payment to a spiritual director, or the cost of the silent retreat. (Some bursary funds may be available)

  • approximately $550 payable to the retreat centre for the cost of meals and lodging.

PHASE II – SPIRITUAL DIRECTION PRACTICUM

The format for the next Phase II will resemble the following (dates to come):

  • Online Session 1 - Two days from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET

  • Online Session 2 - Two days from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET

  • Online Session 3 - Two days from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET

  • In-person Residency - Three days/two nights

    The Spiritual Direction Practicum is open to those who have completed Phase I or its equivalent. This phase offers a supervised experience for acquiring the skills needed to accompany others on their spiritual journey.

CONTENT:

Continuing the learning from Phase I and additionally experiencing and learning about the practice of spiritual direction, discernment, ethical responsibilities when serving others, and the importance of supervision

METHOD:

Practicing with one another, storytelling, movement, creative expression, mindful and reflective self-awareness and learning from one another

 

PROGRAM COMPONENTS:

·      6 all-day retreats on Zoom + 2 days at a retreat centre
·      assigned readings and reflection papers
·      silent retreat for four days
·      receive regular spiritual direction
·      practice offering spiritual direction to others
·      participating in a monthly peer supervision group 
·      meeting with a trained supervisor throughout the practicum

COST:

  • $150 non-refundable administration fee due at the time of application

  • Two instalments (exact amounts and dates to come) for tuition and staff support throughout the program. Tuition includes all course materials and supervision but not books purchased, payment to a spiritual director, or the cost of the silent retreat. (Some bursary funds may be availble.)

  • approximately $350 payable to the retreat centre for meals and lodging.
